iBats, the Indicator Bats Program : Charlotte Walters will talk about the iBats program with a view to the bat group running transects this summer. There will also be a review of Bat Group equipment.

Bat walks workshop : BSBBG chair, Tina Gower, will be running a training session for Bat Group members interested in running or helping with bat walks.  The workshop will cover organising and leading a bat walk, some basic pointers on species ID, bat detectors, dealing with the public and how to plan and run a walk.
Following the workshop, weather permitting, Tina will lead a walk around the University campus to provide some practical experience.
It is hoped that following the workshop participants will run a bat walk during European Bat Weekend (27-28 August 2011)
