The record was obtained from Black Country Park during one of Glyn's very successful public walks. He recorded common pipistrelles around the lakeside and numerous Daubenton's skimming across the lake's surface which the public could enjoy by torchlight.

The Bat Group organises a variety of events:

regular indoor meetings, for members and guests, on the last Tuesday of the month from September to May - see the full 2011-12 programme (for more details email Rose-Ann Movsovic)
outdoor and other public events, mostly in the summer, including bat walks, roost monitoring, surveys and bat box installation and checking - see the full 2011 programme
training towards a Natural England bat roost visitor licence (for more details email Claire Andrews)
